Inspection revealed a wet ceiling area measuring approximately 2’ x 2’ with a small hole above the kitchen sink. This section is part of a cathedral ceiling with no attic access, and plumbing is unlikely to be present in that location. Gutters were found to be clean, and no shingle issues were observed directly above the affected area. However, roof vents located about 15 feet upslope show questionable sealing, and water may be traveling along the truss. The interior of the ceiling hole was extremely saturated.

Project manager will need to open the area to remove damaged sheetrock and insulation in order to identify the source. Additional ceiling removal may be required if the cause is not immediately located.

 Customer is expecting a baby in four weeks and has requested that all work be patched, cleaned, and completed within 1-1.5 weeks.
