Solutions Provided:

Problem Identified:
Water damage was identified affecting the carpeted flooring and underlying materials. The carpet and padding exhibited visible saturation, with deterioration noted in the carpet backing, indicating prolonged moisture exposure. The level of saturation rendered the carpet padding non-salvageable.

Corrective Actions Performed:
The saturated carpet padding was identified for removal and disposal due to material breakdown and moisture retention. Upon exposure, the subfloor was addressed through thorough water extraction and placed under active drying conditions using professional-grade dehumidifiers and air movers. Antimicrobial treatment was applied to the exposed subfloor and affected areas to reduce the risk of mold or bacterial growth.

Moisture readings were taken and monitored to verify drying progress and confirm that the subfloor and adjacent wall bases returned to acceptable industry-standard moisture levels. Where elevated moisture levels or material deterioration were identified, limited removal of affected subflooring and lower drywall was performed as necessary to facilitate proper drying.

Once drying was fully achieved and documented, the affected area was prepared for restoration, including installation of new carpet and padding and replacement of any removed baseboards or finishes to return the space to pre-loss condition.
