WINTER SEASON DAMAGE

Winter is the most wonderful time of the year! But it can also be the most worrisome. Natural elements like wind, snow and ice can lead up to some pretty hefty damage to your home and business.

Potential Winter Damage:
  • General cold weather can cause freezing pipes or blockages and force water back into the house. This might lead to mold or mildew in your home, and as we attempt to stay warm inside, our heating systems could help the mold grow even faster.
  • Wind can cause trees to topple or branches to fall on your roof, exposing the inside to moisture and ice, and damaging your exteriors.
  • Snow can not only damage your roof and landscaping if it becomes too heavy, but melted snow can also cause moisture or even flooding issues.
  • Ice can cause fractures and deepen cracks in your home’s foundation, leading to the potential of leaking and mold growth. Much like wind, it can also cause trees to fall and damage structures around it.

So as the temperature continues to drop, do some simple things like pruning trees and shrubs, and evaluating your insulation and ventilation before the snow and ice comes to try and prevent damage. And if that prevention doesn’t work, don’t worry! CREW is here to help you from the second the damage is found all the way through repair and insurance.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our CREW to yours!
