As the summer heats up, do you remember all the ways to keep your home safe from fire dangers? Refresh your knowledge and protect your family and loved ones this season!
Summer Safety Tips:
- Fire Pits – Not only should you only use your fire pits and chimineas outdoors, make sure you place it at least ten feet away from your home, or anything else that can burn. The tip is similar for campfires – make sure they’re at least 25 feet away from tents, shrubs and anything around your site that can burn.
- Grills – Grills should be used outside, period. Using them inside could not only cause a fire, but create carbon monoxide poisoning. So make sure your grill is out in an open area, away from siding and deck railings, and out from below overhanging branches and eaves.
- Fireworks – While fireworks can be pretty, they can be dangerous. Let the experts handle the sparklers! Even though they look easy to use, one wrong move by an untrained person can instantly spark a fire, or worse, serious injury.
But if disaster hits this summer, we are the only call you need to make. From initial damage assessment through repair and insurance claims, CREW is your one-and-only stop to regaining your peace of mind.
